MASSIVE BLOW: Chelsea RAZZLING & DAZZLING Winger Suffers Injury, To Miss Newcastle United Clash
Chelsea have yet again suffer another injury blow with report reaching us claims Chelsea youngster Kenedy is set to miss this weekend Premier League game against Newcastle United, having picked up a calf injury during the League Cup victory over Walsall yesterday.
The 19-year old Brazilian had his first start for the Blues yesterday since his £6.3million move from Brazilian side Fluminense during the summer transfer window. He created the assist for the opening goal by Ramires before scoring himself in the second half.
His performances was so impressive with his razzling and dazzling skills and his boss Jose Mourinho could not but compliment his display during his post-match briefing.
“Kennedy played well and it was more minutes on the pitch for him,” Mourinho said via Chelsea official website.
“He was having pain in his calf so I had to take him off. But it was a nice performance for him and a good experience.”
However, Kenedy is unlikely to find himself in the starting line-up against the Magpies on Saturday even though he finds fitness before then, Mourinho may well have been planning on giving him some more playing time at St James’ Park.
Chelsea attacking midfielder Willian is still out injured after picking up a muscular injury in Champions League game against Israeli side Maccabi Tel Aviv and could miss this weekend clash also.
