Chelsea’s chance of signing Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba have been given major boost after reports from Italy suggest that Chelsea are ready to offer a cash plus player deal to land Pogba.
Out of favour Colombia international star Juan Cuadrado is understood to be part of the deal involvng the transfer of Pogba to Chelsea after failing to find the back of the net or create assists in 12 Premier League matches he featured last season.
Although Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has in recent interview ruled out the possible move to bring in the midfield power house to SW6 this summer; by saying:
“Pogba is one of the top players in the world. Pogba goes to any team and improves that team automatically.
“I think everybody has an interest in Pogba. But there are things you can do and things you cannot do. I love the Eiffel Tower but I can’t have the Eiffel Tower in my garden. I can’t even have the Eiffel Tower of Las Vegas.”
But in my own opinion, I feel that is just part of mourinho’s mind game and I wont be surprise if there is a shock move for the French man considering the facts that the Old Lady are keen on signing Cuadrado.
Pogba has been a major target for chelsea’s arch rival Manchester City, but they have since pulled out of the race after the purchase of Raheem Sterling and Fabian Delph for a reported £49m and £8m respectively.
