Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is considering bringing Didier Drogba back to the club.
The London Evening Standard says the 36-year-old, who is out of contract after 18 months in Turkey with Galatasaray, scored 179 Premier League goals during an eight-year spell at Stamford Bridge and could be offered a sensational return.
Blues boss Mourinho knows the striker well from his first stint in west London and said in March Drogba would one day ‘have to return’ to Chelsea in some capacity.
And Mourinho is interested in handing the Ivorian a player-coach role, but will face stiff competition.
Drogba is generating interest from clubs in Qatar and has also been linked with both Juventus and Marseille.

Great to have this legendary striker back! But we need 2 more real world class strikers. Definitely NOT Lukaku as he is not world class. It’s funny to see our forum has huge number of fans love Lukaku. Be calm and don’t overrate Lukaku. He has potential but now is not the class if you see how he played at World Cup. When Barcelona has Messi, Neymer and Suarez, and we can see how strong is the attacking midfields and strikers at Bayern Munich as they are backbone at Germany national team, can we win Europe Champion by using only Diego Costa, Lukaku and Drogba? Don’t kidding!! I don’t want to use “stupid” to describe those friends here always say we are “good” to have only these 3 strikers to play next year but the fact is that they are STUPID and love “dreaming”.
