Other sources such as AS, a source from Spain, have based their story on 24Sata. The report in 24Sata claims that a ‘source close to Luka’ has informed them, the deal to Madrid is as good as done.
Apparently, Modric has agreed personal terms with Real Madrid. The only thing left to resolve is the transfer fees with Tottenham Hotspur.
Report is suggesting that, Spurs are asking for €50 Million. Madrid are probably looking to settle for £35 Million roughly equal to €44 Million.
Furthermore, the report adds that there were other clubs interested in Modric, reportedly Man Utd, PSG and Chelsea. But, Modric was unwilling to go to PSG and Levy was reluctant to sell to a competing EPL rival.

As was this writer’s hunch in a post earlier (here) Spurs have opted to sell Modric to Madrid for a lower fee rather than sell to Chelsea.
We will update you, as and when, Modric is officially signed by Real Madrid. Until then, consider this news as just any other transfer news. Speculation.
