According to Daily Star, Jose Mourinho is set to bid a massive £25m for Schalke 04 star Julian Draxler. The 20 year old German has impressed this season with fine performances in the Bundesliga and in the Champions League. And the special one, seemingly not content with his attacking midfield options wants to bring in Draxler to add depth and quality in January.
But, the transfer going through or not will depend on the chances of Schalke qualifying to the round of 16 in the Champions league or not. If they fail to advance from the group (which contains the interested club Chelsea), there is a probability that he would want to leave and join up with fellow German Andre Schurrle.
It is also important to note that his club may not be willing to entertain that price tag and negotiate as other top teams like Arsenal and Man Utd didn’t succeed to lure him away from German this past summer after showing interest.
Schalke general manager Horst Heldt said, “Julian Draxler will be at our club this season, that is for sure,” Heldt told Kicker-Sportmagazin. There will be no fuss regarding him during the January window as he is committed to our club.”
It will surely be interesting to see what will revolve around January transfer window at the club. Will Jose opt to sign Benzema as rumored or other striker? Will Jose recall back Romelu Lukaku for the 2nd half of the season? Will Draxler arrive as expected? and if so, How will the squad shape up with so many attacking midfielders striving to get a playing time in a world cup year? What will the future hold for De Bruyne after a rumored return to Werder bremen?

Dumb to buy an attacking midfielder… i don’t know what it means by strength in depth…. i mean how much depth ??? i strongly feel we wasted 30 million in bringing willian. it was not needed. this department was already full with many of our kids knocking on the doors also.

Chelsea must clear out to buy.mourinho needs to sell.Sell essien,lucas piazon,Ba, Ashley cole and 2 others(EXCEPT!my man Mata).He should buy julian draxler,Ross barkley,luke Shaw,diego costa,bruma and burak yilmaz.We need aggression and initiative in our game and not players who are afraid to make mistakes to secure their place.we really need power,aggression,youth and intelligence in our games
if you think we should sell Lucas Piazon what are you smoking and where can I get it? He is being pipped for greatness and a future Ballon D’Or winner. Every Chelsea fan knows his talent. If it wasn’t for him the Chelsea youth teams would of found it more difficult to win the FA youth cup two years running.

We don’t need him, we wouldn’t need another attacking Midfielder or Winger. We already have more than enough, players like Willian, Kelvin Debruyen, hardly get muchtime on the pitch. Marin and Moses had to be sent out on loan to get playing time, all we need is a top Striker that all.

i believe this is just a rumour because draxler is not better than all the midfielders we hav.by january we should bring lukaku and moses back & sell demba.no need of wasting money.
People…let’s be frank here…all of our attacking mids are complete and I can say full…no place left…but I follow the Bundelisga closely and I would fancy Julian in our club..we never know the future but he is good…but atm..no…no place
