SAD NEWS: £75,000-a-week Midfielder To Exit Stamford Bridge In January? Agent Speaks OUT

Chelsea experienced midfielder John Mikel Obi is on the verge of leaving the reigning Premier League champions after finding playing time limited this season.

This is according to readchelsea.com which claims that the 28-year old star agent John Shittu has reveal that Mikel might exit the bridge in January after fallen further down the pecking order in Jose Mourinho’s team.

“The player had offers to move at the beginning of the season, but Chelsea refused to sell because they probably have him in their plans, now we have to wait and see what happens”. Shittu told Africanfootball.com

Since the arrival of Nemanja matic and Cesc Fabregas, Mikel playing time has reduced drastically. He has only featured three times in the Premier League this season including the home defeat to Liverpool.

Mikel arrived Chelsea in 2006 from Lyn Oslo after a tough battle between Chelsea and Manchester United for his signature.

Since his arrival at Stamford Bridge, the Nigerian midfielder has helped the Blues won major trophies such as the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa Cup, Premier League title, Capital One Cup, FA Cup and FA Community Shield.

With the recent loss declared by Chelsea, Mourinho might decide to sell the Nigerian star and use the fund from his sales to bring in fresh legs, who will serve as reinforcement to his team.
