Welcome To Stamford Bridge? Argentine Goal Machine Finally Set To REPLACE Costa, Abramovich To Spend Big For His Services

Having struggled to keep up to last season performance this season, the EPL defending champions are on the look-out for proven striker who will replace misfiring Diego Costa next year.

Chelsea attacking trio of Costa, Loic Remy and Radamel Falcao have all failed to live up to expectations this season. The three strikers have only managed to score five goals in all competition for Chelsea this season.

However, latest report according to the Metro claims that the Blues are ready to sanction move for Argentine goal machine Gonzalo Higuain to compete with Costa in January.

The Napoli striker previously worked with Mourinho while both were still in Real Madrid and a possible re-union at Stamford Bridge is under consideration.

Higuain has been on scintillating form this season for the Serie A side, with a total of 16 goals in 18 matches. The Argentine striker also found the back of the net 29 times last season.

Both Mourinho and Abramovich are gradually losing patientce with Costa as Mourinho had featured Eden Hazard in the No 9 role in their last two consecutive matches.

However, Chelsea would have to spend big, if they are to lure in Higuain to Stamford Bridge in January, as the Italian giants would not let their prized asset leave for a cheap fee.
