Welcome To Stamford Bridge? Offer Made, 6ft 4 CB To Complete Chelsea Transfer In January

As the transfer window draws closer, rumours linking players to various clubs have started and latest of such is that linking New York Red Bulls Centre defender Matt Miazga to Chelsea.

According to report, the Premier League defending champions have submitted an undisclosed offer for the highly rated defender. It is said that Chelsea sees the American as a potential replacement for ageing skipper John Terry, whose football career is beginning to decline.

The 20-year old star has received offers from other Premier League clubs including Leicester City and Stoke City in recent times. However the star believes he need to continue his development in the United State for now but could possibly move to Europe in the nearest future.

“The ultimate goal is to play on the highest level, but right now I’m happy in New York. I can still grow here and become a better player. When the time comes – I will be ready for Europe”, said Miazga.

Just like Terry, Miazga is technically gifted both on air and on foot. He possesses great leadership skills both on and off the pitch and also loves to initiate attack from the defense line.

“The EPL is a very intriguing proposition. I love that league – it’s very competitive and there’s a lot of passion involved. Hopefully one day I will have an opportunity to play there. I believe my skillset fits the way football is played there”, he continued.

With Terry still around for at least a season, bringing the young starlet to Stamford Bridge would actually make a lot of sense given that he could learn a lot from the legend before he finally hung his boot.
