A Round-Up Of The Latest Transfer Rumours

We’re nearly halfway through December now, and the transfer rumours just keep on coming. However, some of the latest Chelsea-related transfer rumours seem a little far-fetched. Nevertheless, one can never quite predict who Roman may decide to buy! Here’s our round-up of the latest transfer rumours :-
1) Radamel Falcao– The rumours surface again. Falcao was heavily linked with a January move to Chelsea a while ago. But then stories claiming he was willing to move to London cooled down amid reports that Roman was unwilling to meet Falcao’s release clause. However, various newspapers are now reporting that Chelsea are willing to meet Atletico Madrid’s valuation of the player and will offer the Columbian a £200k/week wage (£10M/year). Given the form that Falcao has been in of late, he would be a welcome addition to our squad. Despite Torres’ recent resurgence in form, Chelsea are short on firepower upfront, making the transfer even more likely.
2) Paulinho– A central midfielder who currently plays for Brazilian side Corinthians, Paulinho has won 8 caps for his native Brazil. He’s a versatile player who can operate either as a defensive midfielder or play as a deep-lying play-maker. With Romeu officially out for the season and Mikel unavailable due to the AFCON during the month of January, it seems likely that Chelsea will sign a midfielder in January. Paulinho seems an ideal target, given that his style of play will add to Chelsea’s attack. Reports suggest that the midfielder will cost around £11M, making him cheaper than certain midfielders that the club are currently linked to.
3) Isco– The attacking midfielder is reportedly unsettled at Malaga and has a £17M release clause in his contract. Manchester City was the only club interested in signing the highly-rated Spaniard before Chelsea’s reported interest. While Isco is certainly a talented player, one can question whether Chelsea really need him. Given the plethora of attacking options currently at the clubs disposal, Isco would be a luxury buy, at best. And while one can never quite tell what Roman is going to do next, I’m pretty sure he isn’t thinking of adding a 5th Spaniard to our squad any time soon. Right?
4) Theo Walcott– The England international is currently in the last year of his contract at Stamford Bridge and contract negotiations with Arsenal have stalled. Arsenal may want to sell him in January in order to avoid losing him for nothing in the summer. Chelsea, Liverpool and even Manchester United interested in signing him, either on a free or in January. Walcott has shown signs of improvement this season and although it seems unlikely that Chelsea will get involved in a three-way transfer battle to sign him, he wouldn’t be an awful signing. That being said, Chelsea wouldn’t be too bothered if he didn’t join us.
Which of these players would you like to see Chelsea sign in January? Do let us know!
chelsea supporters and fans will welcome paulinho. chelsea should sign him.
FALCAO AND PAULINHO FOR THIS WINTER.
Isco could be an amazing addition. On the other hand, we don’t need Walcott because Moses according to me is a much better winger with alot of creativity.
I’d love to see Fellaine instead of Paulinho and Falcao would be an amazing addition too but this is one we would have to be very careful with.
Falcao,Paulinho and Walcott
None of these players in my opinion. Falcao is so expensive and his reported wage offered would just be stupid. Maybe Paulinho because as you said,he can play as a regista. I havn’t really seen him play. Shaurya said Fellaini but that guy is just another Ramires,a box to box type. The only advantage he has is his ability in the air. Both of them lack the decisive pass in them from deep. I know Benitez,he’ll go for an out an out playmaker. His midfield pairing at Liverpool with Alonso and Mascherano was one of and best in the league. If he doesn’t buy,I won’t be suprised to see De Bruyne back in January. We only need to buy a striker to give Torres competition. That simple.
falcao should be sign in january.
chelsea supporter are waiting for falcao.
I can see Walcott coming in and playing up top as a back up to Torres. Blistering pace is one of Walcott’s main attributes and that could come in handy in the final third of games. He also wants to play as a striker and hasn’t played regularly in that position at Arsenal, so who’s to say he won’t flourish there for Chelsea? He needs to work on aspects of his game, like all professionals but with the ammunition behind him, I think he could do really well at Chelsea.
we need falcao,he would be 2xpensive i think we just need a person like schrulle
I think we should go 4 Damiao, Remy or Bony cos they all have age on their side, are talanted, bear reasonable price tags, won’t be too demanding, and who knows Bony could be our next Drog
Paulinho, Falcao and I will be happy 😀
I’M A TRUE CHELSEA FAN FROM NIGERIA BUT LET’S WAIT TILL JANUARY TO SEE HOW FAR IT’S TRUE.
We need a good striker who isn’t expensive but still plays at a high quality. I think Benzema or Remy would be good as they are both prolific strikers with a lot of talent. Paulinho would be great but so would Fellaini fitting in with Hazard and the loaned out De Bruyne, Lukaku and Courtois. We need a left back as we’ll. We can’t rely on Bertrand to fill Cole’s shoes. Fabio Coentrao would be great as well. And finally centre back. Terry’s career is coming to an end and we need a youngish and strong centre back commanding the back. I think Sergio Ramos or Hummels will fit this position perfectly. Rafa has to at least buy a new striker and Centre mid this winter though or he like Di Matteo will be put the door.
I really like Falcao, and I think the money is fair, so whilst he’d be a great addition, I’d rather spend the same amount on Neymar.
Paulinho is fairly good, but remember we still have Essien, De Bruyne, McEachran, Chalobah, Romeu, the Musonda brothers and more hanging around in various parts of Europe. Regardless of them, we’re desperately thin on the ground in CM, so one of Busquets, Fàbregas, Paulinho and Fellaini is a must. My preference is buy Fàbregas and recall De Bruyne and Essien.
Isco is brilliant, and is exactly the sort of player Chelsea should be targeting. Markovic, Neymar, Isco, El Shaarawy, Sterling, Tello, Jese, Draxler, Muniain etc. These are the guys we want to get to really build for the future. 17m is a great deal, he’s worth at least 25m IMO.
Walcott doesn’t really fit into this category any more, but is still a high-quality player who can and will score goals. He can be much more than a squad rotation player but 15m is a little high for a player with 6 months left on his contract.
Falcao is welcome and paulinho.
Falcao and paulinho are welcome this january transfer window.
