Director of Real Madrid bans hiring Maicon ~ LanceNet

Jose Mourinho was fighting hard with the Real Madrid board to sign Maicon. Also, Maicon  prefers Real over Chelsea. The report says: Even though Maicon was ready to lower his wage demands, Real Madrid’s board did not find merit in recruiting the 31 year old Brazilian.


Real Madrid closes the door on Maicon deal ~ Marca

Marca reported first about the Maicon deal being rejected by Madrid’s board. His age and wage demands have been sited as reasons for the deal falling through. 

Ashley Cole in potential Chelsea exit ~ ESPN UK
Cole has only one year left on his contract. The basis for this story is that no contract negotiations have started yet. The emergence of Ryan Bertrand as a LB could mean lesser playing time for Cole. As far as Cole doesn’t join any European club, one doesn’t need to worry.

Porto urged to be ‘realistic’ over Hulk ~ ESPN Soccernet

The latest according to this report is that, Porto are asking for €70 Million. A good €30 Million short of Hulk’s buy out clause. Also, the report suggests, Hulk’s advisers and Porto are set for a showdown. Although many clubs are interested in Hulk, Porto’ price tag is putting them off.

ABola is basing its story on Daily Star, which had earlier suggested that, AVB could lure Hulk to Spurs. The Modric sale to Madrid fund could be used to sponsor the deal. Merely speculative, at the moment. 

Bastian Schweinsteiger to Chelsea? ~ VitalFootball

With Modric deal being a no go, rumor mill has turned it’s attention towards Bastian. The above report is based on the tweet below. The motivation for such a story could have been the meeting between Bastian and Roman during the Euros. Again, speculative, for the time being.

Demba Ba ensures that not leaving Newcastle ~ Abola

Demba Ba was linked to Chelsea among several other clubs courtesy of his £7 Million release clause. The above report has used Demba Ba’s tweet to calm down the rumors. Tweet Below:

Pizarro marked Marin’s Chelsea card ~ EatSleepSport

First it was Ex-Blue Joe Cole who had put in a good word to Hazard about Chelsea. Now, we have to come to know of another Ex-Blue Pizarro doing the same. Even though Pizarro had a torrid time as a player at Chelsea, he has said good things about the club to Marin. The report also says that Pizarro still owns a house at Cobham.

Lampard offered stunning £230,000-a-week deal to join mystery Chinese club ~ Goal

First it was LA Galaxy and now it is China. Before you start speculating, the report has suggested that, Lampard does not wish to move out of London. He had a revival of sorts under RDM and he may well see out his contract.
