Mourinho Target Versatile England International To Replace Mikel Obi As January Window Draw Near
Report making the round claims that Stamford Bridge outfit Chelsea are considering calling back their versatile midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah from his loan stint with the Italian side Napoli early in January transfer window.
This is due to lack of playing time given to the young English man who was sent there to gain more playing time and experience having exceled at Championship side Reading during his loan stint last season.
Nathaniel who moved to Napoli during summer transfer window has failed to make any major impact on the Partenopei squad. He was only featured on a five minute cameo in the Europa league but he is yet to make any appearances in Serie A game.
The 20-year old starlet known for his versatility, fitness level and work rate is yet to make any debut for Chelsea’s senior team, and should Jose Mourinho call him back from the loan spell with the Naples if things do not improve, it would be surprising if Mourinho would give him chance to prove his worth with the senior team or would be loan out probably to championship side again where he has spent most of his football career at.
However, Nathaniel could possible be a potential replacement for the imminent departure of Nigeria international John Mikel Obi who has failed to make any major impact in the Blues team recent time.
