Not Again! Another Chelsea Star Suffers FRESH Injury, He Will Miss Everton Clash

Reports making the round claims Belgian shot stopper Thibaut Courtois is set to miss the EPL defending champions Chelsea next few matches due to injury. This follows after Bertrand Traore was ruled out few days ago due to injury.

This is according to Daily Star who claimed the 23-year old shot stopper is expected to be out for 10 weeks after a specialist had confirmed that he has torn his Mensiscus. It is also reported that Courtois had flew to Spain for an exploratory surgery.

The Portuguese tactician Jose Mourinho also confirmed the news during his press conference today that the 23-year old star would be ruled out for a long time.

“No problems were caused by the national teams, but Courtois was injured. I cannot tell you much, but I can tell you that he needs surgery in his right knee, and as a consequence he will be out for a long time” said Mourinho.

The Belgian international initially suffered the knee injury during the warm-up before Chelsea’s EPL opener against Swansea last month but was later aggravated during Chelsea training session at Cobham training base on Wednesday.

The good news for Chelsea’s fans is that summer signing Asmir Begovic will be available for the new challenges ahead of him.  Begovic is a proven goalkeeper who has been around for a while now. He has enough Premier League experiences and during Courtois three match ban, he was able to prove himself even though he conceded three goals against the Citizens.
