Ryan Bertrand loaned out to Aston Villa

Ryan Bertrand has been loaned out for the rest of the season . ‘The special One’ revealed ahead of Manchester United’s  visit on Sunday that he would loan Ryan to Aston Villa.

Aston Villa has confirmed the arrival of Bertrand on their twitter account. The 24 year old will wear the number 23 jersey.

Villa secure loan deal for Chelsea ace.

The 24 year old has found it hard to break into the XI with the Blues and hence has agreed to the loan deal which will provide him regular first team action.

Mourinho said- “We decided that Ryan Bertrand will go on loan. He’s a good player, our player, and he needs to play. I have options at left-back with Ashley Cole and Azpilicueta. So we felt, and he agreed, that he needs to play. He’s a good player. He’s English and young, so he’s going to Aston Villa until the end of the season.”

Ryan is now on his 6th loan spell since joining Chelsea in 2005. He did play in the Champions League final but since then has found it very hard to feature in XI. It has become even harder for him after Mourinho started preferring Cesar Azpilicueta in the Left Back position ahead of Ashley Cole.

There was an offer from Liverpool too but the club decided to loan him out to the Villa Park.

Mourinho also confirmed that Kevin De Bruyne is very close to leaving the club. Some reports suggest that the Belgian is currently undergoing a medical at Wolfsburg.

Meanwhile, Nathaniel Chalobah has joined Middlesbrough on a loan deal until the end of the season.
