Report making rounds says that Chelsea are set to sign Napoli forward Jose Maria Callejon who has had two successful seasons with Italian giants Napoli scoring 32 goals.
According to The Daily Express, a bid of £15.5 million has been lined up for the Spain international by Chelsea.
The formal Real Madrid man had worked under Jose Mourinho during his days as Madrid boss and as a result wont really be finding any problem working with the Portuguese tactician knowing what will be expected of him.
Although Chelsea currently have three striking options namely Diego Costa, Radamel Falcao and Loic Remy, but their fitness level has been a major concern for the Portuguese manager.
The 28 years old attacker can play from the wings and also up front which will add more attacking option for the team.
However, closing this deal wont be easy for the Blues with other top teams also interested in the player.
London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are also aiming to get the signature of the player, but the latter seems to be the fore runner for the Spaniard’s signature with the future of Roberto Soldado and Emmanuel Adebayor uncertain.
